Spring Thyme Lemonade
April 24th, 2018
Aside from water, there’s almost nothing more refreshing than a cold glass of lemonade. Slightly zesty, ridiculously sweet, and too amazing not to love! Lemonade may be most popular during the spring and summer months but it totally holds up any time of the year.

what you will need
Simple Syrup
Thyme simple syrup is the KEY ingredient to this recipe. You can keep it stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 weeks or 1-2 weeks. If you need to make more simple syrup, just double the recipe.
- 2 Cups of Sugar
- 2 Cups of Water
- Thyme (I recommend purchasing 2 Packs from your local grocery store)
Lemonade
This is a judgment call. Depending on the size of your pitcher you can mix as much water, lemon juice, and simple syrup to make the perfect amount of lemonade.
- Pitcher to mix lemonade
- Water
- Lemon juice
Step by Step Instructions
Thyme Simple Syrup
Step 1
Pour water and sugar into a medium saucepan. Whisk ingredients together and simmer until the sugar has dissolved into the water.
Step 2
Add a handful of thyme, and remove from heat. Cover saucepan and steep until cool. (This should take about 10mins or less)
Lemonade
Step 3
Once the simple syrup is cooled to room temperature remove the thyme stems. You can keep the stems as a garnish, but remove after 1 day or it will start to look gross.
Step 4
Inside an empty pitcher mix water, lemon juice, and thyme simple syrup to create your perfect lemonade!
